Petrol Prices Hiked!!: Till now, everyone must be aware of the news that there was hike expected in the fuel rates due to the increase in the international crude oil rates in the country. The Modi Government was not in support to approve the hike due to the cash crisis going on in the country at present.

There were certain speculations being made which came to an official confirmation that the hike in the petrol and diesel rates is been approved. The petrol rates are hiked by RS 2.21 per litre whereas the diesel is hiked by RS 1.79 per litre. The deciding of demonetization had led to severe cash crisis among the people which makes them criticise the decision of the government.

The international crude oil has increased from $44 to $ 53 apt which leads to increase in the fuel prices.  The actual hike of the prices in consideration of VAT Delhi is RS 2.84 per litre petrol and RS 2.11 per litre Diesel. The people are unhappy with the decision and are seen criticising the Modi government for spoiling their livelihood. The revised rates of the fuel will be applicable from today midnight. The revised rate of Petrol in Delhi will cost Rs 68.94 per litre and diesel will cost Rs 56.68 per litre in the city.

It is said that the crude rates are revised in every 15 days depending on the rate of the rupee in terms and value. The gasoline prices increased rapidly at this region from USD 62.82 per barrel in terms of petrol and USD 60.97 per barrel diesel which proportionately increases the fuel charges. On the entire issue, the IOC said in a statement,” the current level of international product prices of petrol and diesel and Rupee-US dollar exchange rate warrant increased in selling price of petrol and diesel, the impact of which is being passed on to the consumers with this price revisions.” Stay connected with us for more such updates.
