Datawind 7SC Tablet Launched in India with free Internet at Rs. 2,999

Datawind 7SC Tablet: A wireless web access products and services developer, DataWind launched a new affordable tablet with free Internet surfing for one year in India – Datawind 7SC or Datawind PC 7SC at a price of Rs. 2,999. The tablet comes with free Internet surfing for one year via the UbiSurfer browser as a result of its tie-up with RCom and Telenor networks this year. The tablet will be available for purchase Via Snapdeal.

In terms of specification, The new DataWind 7SC tablet features a 7-inch WVGA 800×480 screen resolution display. The device is powered by 1.3GHz single core MediaTek processor (unspecified model), paired with 512MB of RAM. The new tablet includes an internal storage of 4GB. It runs on Android 4.4.2 Operating System out of the Box. It is available in a Black colour variant from Snapdeal.

The Datawind 7sc tablet sports a rear camera (unspecified resolution) but misses out on a front-facing camera. The tablet is powered by a 2400 mAh battery. It is said to be capable of reducing bandwidth consumption up to 10 times. This allows users to load complex web pages quickly even on 2G networks in just 5 to 10 seconds.

Coming to the connectivity options, the device includes Wi-Fi, USB 2.0, and Bluetooth options. The tablet is capable of offering terrific performance for over 6 to 8 hours. The tablet comes packed with the DataWind proprietary web delivery technology which has the ability to offer zippy internet browsing at low data charges making it really affordable for everyone. The tablet is one of the most low-priced tablet computers with cellular connectivity, allowing internet access with a regular SIM.

According to a report, Suneet Singh Tuli, President and CEO of DataWind said, “The new range of smartphones and tablets are powered with free unlimited Internet browsing for a year on Reliance Communications (RCom) and Telenor network. The 7-inch devices from DataWind disrupts the existing affordability conventions and again demonstrate the company’s commitment to true democratization of technology across income groups.”
