MI 4G VoLTE Launch: On Monday, the company called Lava has launched its phone that features 4G VoLTE called Lava 4G Connect M1. This new 4G VoLTE featured phone has launched in India at a price of Rs.3, 333. This feature phone will be soon available offline through its retail outlets in the country. It would be available in a few weeks’ time.
The mobile company says that this feature phone is the “the very first 4G-enabled smart feature phone in India”. This domestic brand is looking to market on the country’s 4G services popularity. Now that Voice Calling Services (VoLTE) has gained popularity the feature phone company is offering a phone with the VoLTE feature. Notably, even Reliance Jio is all set to launch its series of feature phones enabled with 4G VoLTE support, reportedly.
Lava 4G Connect M1 India’s First 4G VoLTE featured phone Launched
Several feature phones only come along with limited or sometimes no memory at all. The Lava 4G Connect M1 is the first feature phone that has a memory and processing ability. The Quad Core Processor works at 1.2GHz and comes paired with 512MB RAM. The phone is powered by a 1750mAh battery. The phone also sports a VGA camera on the rear panel. As per Lava, the feature phone also has 2G voice calling support and EDGE connectivity 4G services apart. The company touts the Lava 4G Connect M1 to “combine the experience of a Smartphone and the durability, affordability and battery backup of a feature phone.” True to the company’s word the phone comes Facebook Lite preloaded with messaging applications too. The phone’s make is polycarbonate which adds to its durability.
Gaurav Nigam, the Product Head at Lava International commented on the launch saying: “At Lava, we strive to think ahead of the curve w.r.t product innovation and the launch of Lava 4G Connect M1 is a step forward in this direction. The launch of this smart feature phone, we believe, will create possibilities for users as they will now be able to consume digital content and even do digital transactions.
