Karnataka Minister HS Mahadev Passes Away Today due to Massive Heart Attack

HS Mahadeva Prasad dies at 58: The Southern State of Karnataka is shocked by the sudden demise of its minister. The Karnataka Cooperation and Sugar Minister H S Mahadev Prasad suddenly passed away. He got a massive heart attack today in Chikkamagaluru district while he was at a private resort in Koppa. The Karnataka Minister was just 58 years old and suffered a massive heart attack. He has got a wife and a son who survived him.

The local congress leaders also stated that they tried repeatedly to reach the minister over the phone. They even tried to knock on his door. So due to the failed attempts to contact him they used a spare key to open his room door. There the Karnataka Cooperation and Sugar Minister H S Mahadev Prasad had been found on his bed. The minister was in the Koppa district on an official function visit as per the official sources. Only a few years back the Karnataka minister had undergone a bypass surgery.

Late Mr HS Mahadev Prasad represented the Gundlupete constituency in the Chamarajanagar district. Mr Prasad was also a close associate of the Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.the Chief Minister of Karnataka expressed shock at the unexpected death of Mr. Prasad. Mr. Siddaramaiah also said that he was one of his closest associates. He said, “It is a huge personal loss to me and to Congress party. He was an able administrator and a clean politician. I have lost a close friend and a wonderful colleague.”

The State government of Karnataka has officially declared a one-day government holiday for today.  The State government of Karnataka also announced three days state mourning for the sudden demise of the Karnataka Minster. Mahadev Prasad was a minister in the H D Kumaraswamy headed JD(S) BJP coalition government during the time 2005 – 2007. He then quit the JD (S) and then joined the Congress party. The late Karnataka Cooperation and Sugar Minister’s Son Ganesh said that they will take his remains to perform the last rites. They will take the body to Gundlupete by the evening.
