Shortly after the expo floor was opened, I rushed over to Nintendo's booth. At the time not many people were present. Spotting the Revolution behind its case was quite shocking, and I was in no way ready for how small the unit actually is.

After taking pictures, a complete realization of my forgetful nature sunk in. I headed over to Nintendo's Interactive Lounge to check out the laptops provided. Perhaps they had SD card readers? It was highly unlikely, but I decided to check anyway. As suspected, the laptops wouldn't help. Standing at the lounge I spotted a guy I had met earlier, a Dutchman who was developing educational games. Upon telling him my predicament, he pulled out a SD card reader out of his bag! He mentioned that he recently bought it in Chinatown the day before. I couldn't believe it. In the end, the pictures were uploaded, I basked in the pleasure that comes from a lucky circumstance, and all our readers were happy. But this was not the end of my luck during GDC.
As best as I could tell, Satoru Iwata's keynote was a good step forward for Nintendo in terms of developer relations. My general impressions of the keynote can be found in the staff roundtable.
