Actress-filmmaker and politician Hema Malini is proud that women are gradually making a mark as directors in the film industry, She Likes To Direct A Film again and She said that I would like to go behind the camera again.
Talking about it at an event, Hema said, “I am so happy that there are so many woman directors coming forward and doing good films. If an opportunity comes, I would like to direct a film once again. Currently, Mathura is taking a lot of my time.”

Hema Malini was born on 16th October 1948, Ammankudi (Orathanadu), Tamil Nadu, India, she is an Indian actress, director, producer, dancer and politician. Hema made her acting debut in Sapno Ka Saudagar (1968), and went on to feature in numerous Bollywood films, primarily as the lead actress. In most of her films, she starred opposite her husband – Dharmendra and with Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan.
Hema’s first Bollywood directed was the ‘Dil Aashna Hai’ film in 1992, after which she displayed the megaphone for the 2011 box office flop ‘Tell Me O Kkhuda’, which featured her daughter Esha. Over the past years, women filmmakers like Gauri Shinde, Zoya Akhtar, Farah Khan and Madhureeta Anand have come before.
Hema, who is a member of parliament from Mathura, was also asked if she feels that the Central Board of Film Certification is harsh with movies nowadays. Hema said, “now the world is changing. Around 10 years ago, the scene was different. Now there is so much violence in the outside world… How we will put a full stop to it is a question. If films are affecting those things, then the censor board or we have to help to control that. It is the basic idea.”
she would like to have a dance academy in Mumbai and Mathura. People in Mathura have an interest in dancing. There will be workshops and more.
