Contest: Trick or Chainsaw!

By Shawn White
Update: The contest has officially ended. The Wiire would like to thank the participants for making this fun, and all of our readers for the support that made this give-away possible. Winners will be drawn and notified via e-mail in the very near future.

When one mentions Halloween, what comes to mind? Trick-or-treating, costume parties and cavities are primary answers, but how about being chased by a guy wearing a potato sack on his head and waving around a chainsaw? You won't find that at any haunted house, but with this new contest from The Wiire, you can experience true horror from the comforts of your own home.

This Halloween, when everyone else is giving away candy, The Wiire is giving readers an opportunity to win one of six copies of Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition. To win, readers simply have to locate six blue medallions (pictured below) - these treasures come from the actual game and allow access to a special weapon, but you'll have to win a copy to find out what that weapon does!

Here is the treasure you seek.

The medallions are scattered throughout The Wiire's October articles, so check through the news, features and reviews sections. Be careful, though: we might have played one small trick on our own rules, but those who figure it out will reap greater treats.

When you've found six medallions, copy the links (or take a screen capture) of the respective pages and attach them to an e-mail, along with your name, age and address. Then send that to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Rest assured that your personal information will not be shared with any outside parties.

Rules:
  • Only North American citizens over the age of 17 are eligible; falsifying any information will result in disqualification.
  • Sharing links is prohibited.
  • Only one game per household.
  • And in case it was not clear, the example medallion above does not count.
The contest is expected to run until the end of Halloween. Winners will be drawn at random from those who manage to send in the necessary items, and notified soon after the contest's closure. So imagine there's a blood-thirsty chainsaw fiend coming for your candy and find those medallions!
