Speaking at a Capcom event in London yesterday, Monster Hunter Tri producer Ryozo Tsujimoto says he believes his development team has pushed the Wii to its graphical limits.
Tsujimoto told reporters: "We tried for the highest graphical quality [with Monster Hunter Tri] on the Wii, and I think we achieved it."
While The Wiire has yet to see the game firsthand, outlets in attendance at yesterday's event such as Nintendo Life said "Without a doubt our first impression was that this is the best looking game the Wii has seen so far."
Although a screenshot can never due a game full justice, they do provide a good idea of the type of visual quality Capcom aimed for on their Wii-exclusive title. Moga Village, pictured above, looks highly detailed and acts as the game's central hub. Underwater environments, new to the series (pictured below) look impressive as well.
With this attention to graphical quality and recent announcement of Wii Speak support, it is beginning to become clear why Nintendo identified Monster Hunter Tri as a key title for 2010.
Monster Hunter Tri is slated for an April 6 release in North America. |
