One week after announcing a Wii Classic Controller Pro bundle with Monster Hunter Tri, Capcom has now confirmed the title will also support Wii Speak. Capcom also revealed a special bundle for European gamers featuring both a Wii Speak microphone and Classic Controller Pro.
The addition of Wii Speak microphone support to Monster Hunter Tri is noteworthy, as the original release of the title in Japan did not include any voice chat support. Japanese gamers could only chat via USB keyboard and pre-set messages.
Nintendo recently identified Monster Hunter Tri as a key title for 2010, signing a deal that will make the Big N responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of the game.
This announcement adds to the recent resurgence of Wii Speak support. Nintendo is offering a limited time bundle with their upcoming release of Endless Ocean: Blue World that will pack in a Wii Speak microphone, usually a $29.99 accessory for free.
Monster Hunter Tri is slated for an April 6 release, however Capcom has yet to reveal if it will charge fees for online play as they do in Japan. |
