Nintendo plans to ship the first Wii game in a black box when it releases Zangeki no Reginleiv, a gory giant slaying action game, this February in Japan.
This special black box marks the second time Nintendo has broken the tradition of white Wii game cases, the first being the red box used for New Super Mario Bros. Wii in November 2009. Clearly, Nintendo aims to give Zangeki no Reginleiv, a mature title, an extra marketing boost with the special packaging.
The game, formerly known as Dynamic Slash or Dynamic Zan, is scheduled for a February 11 release in Japan. No North American, European, or Australian dates have been announced yet.
