Wii owners that haven't experienced the Phoenix Wright series be aware: the first game in the series (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney) will be hitting WiiWare next week, Monday, January 11, 2010, Kotaku reports.
Mark your calendars and set aside 1000 Wii Points for this WiiWare adaptation of the Nintendo DS-port from the original Japanese GameBoy Advance game, Gyakuten Saiban Yomigaeru Gyakuten.
Phoenix has adapted his ways to the Wii mostly in terms of updated pointer and optional motion controls (see the dramatic trailer below). The graphics don't see much of an overhaul, but Phoenix Wright purists shouldn't be deterred from the game for this reason.
The game comes with the original four lengthy trials with the game's bonus fifth trial to be offered as downloadable content (DLC) in May. The bonus trial will cost an extra 100 Wii Points.
Those lost on the Phoenix Wright series will see themselves in the role of an up n' coming attorney named Phoenix Wright. Phoenix, like every other character in the game, has plenty of quirks and funny moments. Most are drawn to the immersive persistent story through the first game (and the entire series) that highlights the good nature of the legendary attorney.
To those that haven't played it yet, I couldn't recommend this game more. Here's to hoping that the WiiWare adaptation does justice to the DS port. |
