The Wiire recently polled its readers on the following question:
E3 2009 has finished - what do you think of Nintendo's announcements?
Nearly 60% thought that the press conference went well overall. Despite the lack of presence from predicted major franchises like Zelda, Starfox and Pikmin, most gamers felt that what Nintendo still presented a successful conference.
Interestingly, looking back at the previous poll study asking what major franchise gamers most wanted to see presented, only Mario (12.1%) and Metroid (5%) actually made it to the official presentation.
Returning to the poll results, about 20% of gamers thought that Nintendo's presentation was fantastic, and nothing major really felt missing to them. On the other hand, 13.1% thought that a lot more could have been shown. 5.2% thought that the conference was actually worse than last year (whether in jest or actually serious), and finally 4.6% were indifferent to Nintendo's announcements.
Do these results suprise you, or does the consensus match up with your expectations? Share your thoughts in the comments below! |
