Reggie Aims for 1.5 Million on Metroid: Other M |

In a recent interview with Gamespot, Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime spoke about the company's approach to gaming this generation, and specifically to their E3 2009 press conference.
During the interview, Reggie brought up key franchises, namely Metroid. Surely, the question arises, why go with Team Ninja on this dear series? Reggie's response was succinct:
"Metroid is a key franchise, and in our view really since the Snes Metroid, we havent broken through in terms of 1.5 - 2 millions units. Thats our bar. Thats the scale that we look at to say on a global basis this is effective."
What will it take to break that sales barrier for the Metroid series? Maybe shaking things up with Team Ninja was the right way to go. Check out the full interview, embedded below.
