Ever feel like games were better back in the 8-bit days? Perhaps you don't understand what other people see in classic games, and only play games 32-Bit and up. Or maybe, you find yourself enjoying all games, no matter the bits. Well no matter who you are, Bplus is catering to everyone with its upcoming WiiWare title, Bit Boy!!
The game will be an adventure centering around the game's protagonist Kubi the aptly-named cube. Kubi's friends have been kidnapped, and throughout the game, Kubi travels to various worlds, ranging from 4 to 128-bit environments, to try and save them.
The team over at Bplus has done their homework to keep the retro feel genuine. Influenced by a large amount of retro classics, the three guys over at Bplus know exactly what it takes to make a classic. "Our aim was to create a mirror to the past by imitating all the aspects of the previous generations in order to recreate their unique styles."
They also want you to feel exactly what it is like to play an old 4-bit game. They made sure to maintain the "low framerate, low resolution, limited colour palettes, low polygon count, effects or pixel fill rate of our favorite classic consoles." This will ensure that the game you play will definitely play as it should. Even if that means it feels like it is twenty years old.
This game certainly seems intriguing, but it is currently unknown when we'll be getting our hands on it, as it has yet to receive a release date.
