A GameStop ad recently revealed a price drop for MadWorld, a very significant one at that. The popular yet low-selling game will now retail for $30, a full 40% cut from the game's original $50 price, according to NintendoDpad. As of this writing, Gamestop's site only reflects a price drop on used versions of the game, and still lists the new game for $50.
MadWorld sold roughly 66,000 copies in its release month, and to date has (unofficially) sold about 200,000 worldwide.
The question has always been whether Wii gamers will buy a game like MadWorld. However, it seems like the real issue is, at what price will MadWorld be a hit? Hopefully, it's before the game hits the $10 bin at Wal-Mart.
