We haven't spoken much of Excitebots: Trick Racing. As the next game in the "Excite" racing line published by Nintendo, the game features insect-like robot racers and quirky fun, like "Super Sandwiches" and kicking soccer goals.
Sadly, the game sold a dismal 13,000 copies in the US in April. While it was only available for ten of those days (it had a release date of April 20), the number seems rather low. After all, this is a Nintendo-published game available on the best-selling console this generation, and it takes after the popular launch title Excite Truck.
So why didn't it sell? Hopefully better sales from the month of May won't require us to answer that question. On the one hand, plenty of press has raved about the game, but let's be honest: how many radars did this fly under?
We'll post more about the game, and hopefully interesting racers like these won't go unnoticed on the Wii. Hey, it's another reason to bust out that Wii Wheel!
