Red Steel 2 is Westward Bound

Red Steel was disappointing. As a launch title for Wii, it had tons of anticipation surrounding it, however the rushed job that was the final version was less than game of the year quality.  Ubisoft has promised to do better, and with a new setting in the west.

That is correct, the Will Smith Wild West that we all know. Well, perhaps a little different. Recently Red Steel 2 made the cover of Nintendo Power, and with the article comes a small amount of new information. The main bit of info is probably the most obvious, in that Red Steel 2 will have players use the guns and swords combo from the first game, and take it to the Wild West. Joystiq is quick to point out that there have been wonderful combinations of the West and East before, and if done right, Red Steel 2 could be the same way.

The other bit of information is that Red Steel 2 will help sword-fighting technique with Wii MotionPlus, and give you sword fighting "as real as you'd always dreamed!" With more realistic movement, motions may feel less club-like, and more like an actual sword.
