Amazon Enters the WiiWare Business

Finally want to play World of Goo? What if I were to tell you that your Wii’s Shop Channel was no longer the only place for you to buy the game?

Recently World of Goo was found listed on Amazon’s website. Why is this news worthy? Well, only a short time ago, Amazon began listing Xbox Live Arcade games on their site, and with World of Goo appearing, it would seem that the next step for Amazon is to begin selling WiiWare titles. While at the time of this posting World of Goo is the only WiiWare title posted, Amazon will probably expand on the library to include more WiiWare titles, and PlayStation Network titles as well.

With this new development combined with their new acceptance of game trade-ins, Amazon is rapidly expanding its video game sales efforts.  Should GameStop be worried?
