Things are adding up now as EA Sports announced that Wii MotionPlus will be bundled with Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 and EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis. These two games, the first to support Nintendo's newest add-on, are high-profile sports games coming in exclusive form to the Wii.
The bundles will retail for $59.99, shipping on June 15. When the math is done (and the math is fun), that means the normally $50 games will come with a $10 MotionPlus. Sounds like a fantastic deal for some purportedly fantastic games.
The features of the games sound excellent as well. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, according to the press release, "gives players an unprecedented authentic golf swing experience and the ability to control and work the ball around the course." But another mode in the press release caught my eye as well: disc golf. As mentioned in the release: "The Wii MotionPlus accessory also adds to the gameplay experience with an all-new disc golf mode in Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10. With Wii MotionPlus, gamers have increased fidelity and complete free motion of their disc and can throw it in any manner they choose."
EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis will use the MotionPlus accessory equally as thoroughly. The attachment "elevates the authentic tennis experience to a higher level with precise ball placement and added shot depth." Tennis stars like John McEnroe, Serena Williams, and Roger Federer are included, ready for players to "control [their] backswing."
We will soon be posting assets for the games to help get a feel for them. Looking at the box for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, I can't help but notice the "Pay & Play" logo on it, which likely indicates downloadable content for the game.
The games will also ship separately for $49.99. How many of you plan on picking up the bundle, and which game are you looking forward to more?
