The line of self-improvement games are called Mind, Body, and Soul. The games, coming to both Wii and DS, will focus around having players "improve their everyday lives while having fun along the way." What does 505 Games plan to do differently than we've already seen on the console?
To start, they will be bringing out Nutrition Matters in May. According to Eurogamer, it will allow users to keep track of your calorie intake and how many you burn in your activities, as well as using the game's database to plan meals and set weight targets. The Wii version uses the Balance Board as a "set of digital scales" as well. Bonus!
505 Games will also release Big World Puzzle Book and Mind Storm 2 for the DS. Big World Puzzle Book contains 1,000 levels of word puzzle fun, whereas Mind Storm 2 is similar to Brain Age. Both games will be available in April.
It is notable that Nutrition Matters seems to do little outside of what Wii Fit can do, and Wii Fit is actually purchased with the Balance Board. While we don't have any word on pricing for these games, I would imagine it has to be low enough to justify getting a meal planner for Wii.
The real question is: is anyone else picturing the Self-Help section of a Barnes & Noble, except with Wii and DS games?
