Japan received Karaoke JOYSOUND Wii, a game developed by Hudson last December. It seems that many Japanese gamers were having the classic "noisy neighbor" issues with similar singing games. But not anymore!
Coming packed-in with the game is a microphone called "Urusakunai Kara OK!" (Kotaku translated it as "Not Noisy Kara OK!") Basically, the USB microphone has a large rubber cup that eats your face surrounds your mouth when you are singing your heart out. The rubber cup then muffles the sound to the point that your neighbors can sleep quietly while you are rocking that pop song you love so much.
You'll be happy to know that the cup is removable (and washable), so hygiene isn't as much of a concern. The microphone is also Windows XP and Vista capable, according to Slashgear. It is priced at 3,480 yen ($35.47), but can come packaged with a set of headphones for an extra thousand yen.
