New Dead Rising Video Rocks the Undead

Remember how the disappointment echoed when Dead Rising: Chop Til You Drop had a bad showing at TGS, followed by an uplifting response from Capcom?  Here's a way it is redeeming itself.

Using all game engine zombies, the development team modeled the Japanese band Gagaga SP in a trailer promoting the game.  The trailer features the band (along with Frank West), playing the new Dead Rising theme song, "Dead Rising."  Oh, and it features tons of zombies, dancing and fighting.

Though it doesn't pertain much to gameplay, at least we have another reminder that this game is on the way, and is getting better with each glimpse we take.  Plus, we finally have a solid release date for the game, which makes twice as much Dead Rising news than I was expecting over the last week.  Plan to get the game on February 27, 2009, the release date for both Europe and North America.
