Woman Makes Wii Eat Credit Cards |

As if we aren't finding enough reasons to question the intelligence of recent Wii owners and their destructive habits, here's something to drive you nuts. According to a post on NeoGAF, a woman took her neighbor's advice in Wii gaming selection a bit too literally.
When told about the Virtual Console service provided by Nintendo, she found that she could redeem Wii Points if she "put in her credit card when prompted on the Wii Shop Channel." The woman then began to physically insert her credit cards (yes, plural) into the Wii's disc slot, essentially choking her Wii of all life.
Beginning with one credit card, the earnest Wii owner thought it may not be accepted, and so put in two other cards. Of course, one would wonder that when the first card wasn't being ejected after not being "accepted," she would continue to shove other cards in the slot (not even possible at an ATM).
To make things worse, the neighbor informed her that calling Nintendo for a $75 repair would be in order, which the woman expects the poster (supposedly) to pay for. The warranty of the console never came up in the post, which makes me doubt the validity of the story, or at least the helpful neighbor.
See, people? The Wii is completely immune to a recession; it will eat your money... and print it out to Nintendo.
