The game is said to be roughly 77 percent completed, and can be expected in Spring, only for Japan at the moment. The official site has been launched, but doesn't contain much outside of links to the PS2 and PSP versions.
According to GoNintendo, the game currently has true widescreen support (16:9), and can be controlled with the Classic Controller, likely alongside standard Wii controls. There is no confirmation whether the game will feature online monthly fees, but it will retain the four-player online play from the PS2 version. This remake of the PS2 game does come with a few additions, like possible updated network features, the ability to view weapons prior to creation in the weapon shop, and being able to send items directly to your item box.
If this game was made available in your territory, would you pay to play it? Some cringe at the thoughts of Wii-makes, but the more palatable online games, the better, I say.
