Teenage Mutants To Fight On Wii

Ubisoft continues to back up statements made that they are in a position to capitalize on the Wii, by unveiling a new Wii-only 2.5D fighter based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe. 

Now before you go writing the game off, and begin dreaming of "Turtles in Time" of Christmas past, this will the be the first TMNT game in recent history not to be based off a cartoon show, or blockbuster movie released in theatres. It will be its own entity, with its own game play and story to keep it afloat. No more free rides for Michelangelo and gang.

If that isn't enough to get you intrigued by the title, perhaps this can do the trick. You know that little "sleeper hit" that you've sort of heard whispers about called Super Smash Bros? Well Ubisoft has confirmed that they have ex-Smash Bros members along with ex-Team Ninja employees on board for this title.

Even if you don't enjoy some friendly mutant fighting, it is nice to start seeing more Wii exclusive titles coming from a large developer. Now please, no excessive waggle.
