EA Releases NASCAR Kart Racing Trailer, Forgets Wii

After the games recent announcement, EA Sports today released the first trailer for its upcoming NASCAR game, designed exclusively for Wii.  The game has a scheduled release date of February 10th, 2009 and as EA points out, "just in time for the Daytona 500 and the official start of the 2009 NASCAR season".

Ironically, as the Wii's only NASCAR game, Greg Biffle's #16 Wii car is not featured on the games box art or as a playable driver in the game.  However, the game's press release does mention "two unlockable mystery drivers".  The Wiire has contacted EA Sports for comment.

After viewing the trailer, let us know what your initial impressions of the game are.  Mario Kart has owned the Kart racing niche for some time now with Nintendo fans, yet the strong branding and fan base any NASCAR licenced game brings could provide EA with the firepower it needs to challenge the Big N.
