Can Resident Evil 5 Come To Wii?

Recently 1UP had an interview with Capcom producer Jun Takeuchi. The topic on the plate was the likelihood of a Wii port of Resident Evil 5. The response seemed to be a resounding no.

Takeuchi discussed how the current game pushes both Xbox 360 and PS3 hardware to their limits. With the massive gap in performance power, he seemed to think it would be hopeless to attempt to create a port for the Wii. Apparently a downgraded version was out of the question too, as he did not even consider this as a possibility.

I doubt the instant cash cow that any Wii game is, will be easily ignored. With a triple-A title like Resident Evil, instead of going the Resident Evil 4 route, RE5 may take a different form on the Wii. If Umbrella Chronicles is any sign, Capcom is looking for a more fun arcady feel for any Resident Evil Wii game.

So I have this to ask you guys. Are his claims reasonable? If so, would you rather a downgraded version of RE5 for Wii, or something totally different?
