Animal Crossing the Compatibility Bridge |

![]() Looking at the screens for Animal Crossing: City Folk, one could easily mistake it for the previous Animal Crossing of the GCN era. Perhaps Nintendo is just fixing to milk the franchise, and instead of innovate, they are only releasing more of the same to make guaranteed money. However, the upcoming Nintendo Power issue has some new details that proves Nintendo is choosing to continue on its path of innovation, while simultaneously creating another license to print money. If like me, you've spent hours of your life playing Animal Crossing: Wild World for the DS, get excited, for Nintendo is including some rather fun DS-to-Wii functionality. For starters, players will be able to import their avatars from the DS to the Wii. Players will also be able to "take your travel data and download it to your DS." Does this mean traveling from town to town across the Wii and DS? Beyond compatibility, players will also be able to save pictures to SD cards, and share them with the world. Oh, by the way, did I mention there is a possibility of free DLC in the form of furniture or wallpaper? As of now, it is only a possibility though. Last but not least, do not expect a bundle of Wii Speak with Animal Crossing. Instead Nintendo plans on selling it separately for $30. Am I the only one who thinks that's a little high?
