Cammie Dunaway: Nintendo Disappointed With E3 |
| By Andrew Clark / Thursday, 21 August 2008 |
![]() Many were left confused by Nintendo's E3 performance this year. Nintendo's focus appeared to be mainly on the casual crowd, a crowd that does not even know what an E3 is. This left very many Nintendo fans upset, leading to Reggie Phils-Aime to have to defend their strategy. Recently at a Nintendo shin-dig hosted to attract more of the Central and South American crowd, however, Cammie Dunaway was interviewed by VGChartz, and she had a different viewpoint about how the press conference went. When asked about what Nintendo's message to those disappointed is, Cammie replied "I would say the message is we were disappointed with our performance at E3." She went on to talk about how wonderfully it worked out that Miyamoto just happened to decide to unveil Pikmin. "We think it was a good recognition for us that we care for our core fans, and not just the new people who are now discovering Nintendo." But she also noted that it would have been nice if "they could have said that on stage." With a guaranteed AAA title like Pikmin, why would you not make that a part of the press conference? |
