NOA's Senior Director of PR Steps Down

By James King / Thursday, 27 September 2007
Nintendo of America's Senior Director of Public Relations Beth Llewelyn said today that she will be leaving the company after eleven years of service. This statement comes in the wake of former NOA Senior Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communication George Harrison's confirmation of his departure from the company at the end of this December.

Top-tier executive departures continue to trickle from Nintendo after the company revealed plans to move the North American PR and Marketing divisions from Redmond, Washington to New York City and San Francisco. Llewelyn's departure is not expected to be the last given the difficult nature of relocation.

Llewelyn aided Nintendo's corporate communication efforts as a member of the Golin/Harris PR firm before joining Nintendo in 1996 as a Public Relations Manager. She commented in an e-mailed statement that she would be "taking some time off to be a full-time mom" after her last day on September 28.

Nintendo has remained silent on the number of resignations incurred. The company has not yet announced successors for those who have confirmed their departures.
