Miyamoto is the Master of Vague |

Everyone expected everything Miyamoto has said yesterday after the conference...during the conference. However, in one swift stroke, Miyamoto has almost single-handedly confirmed three games. IGN pressed him like ace attorney Phoenix Wright for new information and they got what they were looking for...sort of. "There isn't anything that we can announce right now, but I'm sure we'll probably do something with it. The Pikmin team is, of course, still there and maybe we'll have something to talk about before too long." Maybe almost always means yes from Miyamoto. In regard to a new Mario DS game, all Miyamoto could do is say that he has many teams working at different points in development on different games. "All that I can say is that that team is also working." Here's where the tricky part is, though. IGN flat-out told Miyamoto that they want a new Super Mario Galaxy follow-up. His response was a simple "Leave it to me." You can take that any way you want. But, taking it as a confirmation of anything would be naive. Talk about vague. At least we know Pikmin is most likely on the way in the coming months. |
