Fans have complained, nagged, and killed each other over the fact that Wii had online titles that did not include any form of voice chat, unlike the online games of the Xbox 360. Well, Nintendo got with the times and even improved on the times by announcing Wii Speak at this year's E3.![]() Wii Speak pictured above Animal Crossing Screenshot Acting as a sort of community microphone Wii Speak will allow a room full of any number of players to communicate with another room of players all across the world. This is a substantial advancement over the Xbox 360's headset, which had to be passed around a group of players one at time in order to speak. A demo of the newly-announced Animal Crossing: City Folk showcased its awe-inspiring power. No specific release date has been announced for Wii Speak, but it will be available for the MSRP of $29.99 as an option in Animal Crossing: City Folk which is set to release by the end of 2008. Will it top the Xbox 360's headset? Has Nintendo gone too far in insuring complete online safety? Tell The Wiire what you think about Wii Speak in the comments! |
