Metal Slug 6 Added to Anthology

According to a press release distributed by SNK Playmore, Metal Slug 6 has been added to Metal Slug Anthology.

The collection, slated to release in November 2006, will include Metal Slug 1-6 and X. All titles are expected to have controls redesigned for the Wii Remote, as well as other unannounced bonus material.

The Metal Slug series first began in 1996 on SNK's Neo Geo system. The arcade shooter took inspiration from the Contra series and provided players with frantic run-and-gun-style cooperative two-player gameplay. Although the Metal Slug name describes a massive tank in the game, players often control Lieutenant Marco Rossi through numerous on-foot, side-scrolling missions.
