Cranium Thinks Wii

By Rob Galbreath / Wednesday, 22 August 2007
Ubisoft announced a video game version of the popular board game Cranium coming to Wii. In cooperation with Cranium, Inc., the Toy Industry Association T.O.T.Y. Game of the Year winner of five times, Ubisoft plans to utilize both the Wii Remote and decoder glasses to create new experiences for board game veterans.

"Cranium sets itself apart by creating award-winning games that celebrate natural talents connecting people through laughter and play," said Yves Guillemot, chief executive officer at Ubisoft. "This kind of experience is exactly what we want to provide with our 'Games for Everyone' line, and we are pleased to partner with Cranium, Inc., who for nearly a decade, has proven itself the experts in creating unique enduring experiences for friends and family."

Okay, so "Korea" may need a spell check.

Cranium Kabookii will offer an experience similar to the board game. Examples include drawing, acting, solving puzzles and breaking codes. Region-specific questions are intended for the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France and Spain. No other countries have been announced yet, but Ubisoft plans a December 2007 global launch of the software.
