"Unleashed" Bestest Star Wars Game Ever! |
| By Christopher Holzworth / Monday, 12 May 2008 |
I'm really not much of a Star Wars fan (I dig the original trilogy, but that's about where my story ends). But as a gamer who played the vast majority of the Star Wars video games, I'm pretty amped for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. To hear that one of LucasArts producer's considers the game to have "the greatest Star Wars story [we've] ever told in a video game" doesn't come as much of a surprise to me -- even though it is his job to laud the game as such.![]() During an interview with VideoGamer.com, Cameron Suey, the producer responsible for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, commented how for him the game represents the culmination of the Star Wars video game franchise. "I'm a humble guy so I try not to use a lot of hyperbole, but it's certainly the greatest Star Wars story that we've ever told in a videogame. I absolutely love the gameplay," Suey said to VideoGamer, "This is the first game I've worked on, in about four years in the industry, in which I still love the game even a year-and-a-half after I've been playing it a little bit every day. Working so closely to it, usually you get sick and fed up of a game, you never want to see it again once it's done, but I still have fun every time I pick up the controller." If you scope videos of the game, it's sort of hard not to board the ol' Hype Train. Plus, you may recall that the Wii boasts five additional levels. Couple that with some wiggle-waggle lightsaber dueling and you may just have "the greatest Star Wars game ever" on Wii! Dream it, Padawans! |
