UK-based NGamer magazine confirmed a sequel to Rayman Raving Rabbids and provided a few details on the project. The development team will focus more on the narrative element in the sequel, detailing the Rabbid's history as Rayman infiltrates their HQ underneath a shopping center. Like the original, the game will consist of numerous microgames. NGamer described one mini-game in which four Rabbids are tied to laboratory tables and shocked with cathodes, and another where costumed Rabbids talk on cell phones in a movie theater. In addition to new microgames, NGamer noted that Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 will also feature improved visuals. Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 is expected to release later this year, according to NGamer, but Ubisoft has yet to provide an official release date. The Wiire reviewed Rayman Raving Rabbids upon the game's release last November. The title received an overall grade of "B" and earned the Ease of Use, Multiplayer Mayhem and Family Fun awards. The Wiire will have more on Ubisoft's domineering Rabbids as it becomes available. |
