According to Spanish gaming site MeriStation, Ubisoft confirmed during the Games Convention in Leizpig, Germany last week that Rayman Raving Rabbids will be exclusive to Wii until May 2007. Michel Ancel, creator of Rayman and director on Raving Rabbids, stated in a July 2006 interview that the Wii version of the limbless hero's latest adventure became the main focus of the development team after Wii SDKs were acquired, noting also that other console and handheld versions would follow only once the Wii game was completed. Ubisoft has not stated what additional features, if any, might accompany Raving Rabbids on other next-generation systems, or how the specific motion-sensing controls will be adapted. The MeriStation article can be found here. For more information and media on Rayman Raving Rabbids, visit The Wiire's respective game page. Stay tuned for more coverage of crazy bunny antics. Update: A Ubisoft representative confirmed to Eurogamer that "Rayman Raving Rabbids will not be exclusive to the Wii until May next year. [The game] will be released on old and new formats before the end of 2006, with dates to be announced soon." |
