![]() Thanks to the magic of the Internets, people were able to fool around with URLs and unveil some new and rumored game titles to be released, thanks to the marketing agency Intellisponse. These games include rhythm game (Guitar Hero) peripherals, new games that will utilize the balance board, and more minigame collections. There also happened to be a large number of Spider-Man games. Continuing on with the trend of fitness games, both for mental and physical strength, two of the proposed games include Wii Yoga and Mensa Workout. Wii Yoga will be a game devoted to yoga, and will use the balance board. It will most likely function similar to Wii Fit. Mensa Workout will be of the mental variety, offering Mensa puzzles to solve such as deciphering codes and other mental activities. There also came news of a new type of guitar for Guitar Hero World Tour. From the description it appears that they seek to open up the neck for added creativity. Details on how this takes shape seem rather hazy as of yet. An early pic snapped over at Joystiq just heightens curiosity further. Another theme that seems to be prevalent amongst the games was television-based games. Among these include Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Gossip Girl, Bill Nye the Science Guy's Science Lab, and Animal Planet's Emergency Vet. Extreme Makeover looks to make motion controls to complete tasks that will ultimately result in the remodeling of a house. Tasks include knocking down and painting walls. Gossip Girl sounds to be similar to a Sims game, where the player will control the social life of somebody in an attempt to raise the ranks of popularity. Bill Nye will be featured in minigame collection focused on science experiments. In the Emergency Vet, players will take the role of a surgeon who operates in the emergency room, performing rapid-fire surgery to save the lives of house pets. Possibly the most cryptic of all of the rumors was the appearance of Trioxide. The goal of Trioxide is to create some sort of platform that will allow players to play Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, and Sony PS3 games all on the PC, and all with the original controllers. Despite the lengthy descriptions of some of these titles, which can be read over at WiiFanBoy, there is no clarification yet as to which of these games will come to fruition, and which are only pitches. And so we turn our eyes to E3 where we hope all will be revealed. |
