Publisher THQ celebrated Valentine's Day with the announcement of Deadly Creatures, an original IP that will appear exclusively on the Nintendo Wii. Deadly Creatures will see players taking control of a scorpion and a tarantula as they vie for power and struggle to survive against Gila monsters, black wizards, lizards, and other predators of the desert. Players will also navigate the unorthodox protagonists through a vast setting featuring man-made environments and their respective dangers. Motion controls will be utilized for unleashing numerous combination attacks. According to developer Rainbow Studios' Executive Producer and General Manager Nick Wlodyka, "Deadly Creatures is a creepy, cinematic thrill ride, where the distinction between predator and prey can shift around every corner." The executive went on to boast the game's "...brutal motion-controlled combat, [a] dark compelling story and [some of the] best visuals to date on the Wii..." No release date has been set for Deadly Creatures, but stay up to date with The Wiire for more on this story as it develops. |
