In an interview with 1UP.com, Treasure President Masato Maegawa discussed his company's plans for Wii development and Virtual Console releases. Treasure has supported Nintendo systems in the past with critically acclaimed titles like Sin and Punishment for the Nintendo 64 and Gunstar Super Heroes for Game Boy Advance. As for developing on Wii, Maegawa said that Treasure is fond of the console and plans to make a Wii game, so "it's just a matter of freeing up people in order to create a team to work on it." Maegawa also noted that four of Treasure's six SEGA Genesis titles are legally verified for distribution on Virtual Console, but did not specify which ones. According to Maegawa, their release merely depends on how Nintendo wishes to stagger its content. Sin and Punishment is planned to appear on the service at some point, according to Treasure's president, but he admitted "it's probably going to be a while still". Whether the Japan-exclusive N64 title will be released for the Virtual Console in regions outside of Japan remains unclear.
