Zoonami: Dedicated to Wii

By Shawn White / Thursday, 02 August 2007
CEO of developer Zoonami Martin Hollis expressed his studio's interest in the Wii platform during a recent interview with gaming Web site CVG.

"We are happily dedicated to Wii, which is a very exciting console indeed, and are working on multiple projects," Hollis stated when asked about Zoonami's current undertakings. "Incidentally I believe Wii will capture first place in this generation of the console race within a year, by all important measures. I also believe that Wii will change the world."

Hollis also noted that "downloadable games have changed the business landscape of the game industry for the better. . .[and] are likely to play a very large part in our future." Sony recently made Zoonami's Go! Puzzle titles available for download on PlayStation 3's store.

Martin Hollis founded Zoonami in 2000 after departing British developer Rare during the development of Perfect Dark for Nintendo 64. Rare is known for developing Nintendo 64 title GoldenEye 007, as well as for creating the Perfect Dark, Banjo & Kazooie, Conker and Viva Pinata franchises. Zoonami's first retail game, Zendoku, released in North America on June 13 for Nintendo DS and PSP.
