In October Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime revealed that Club Nintendo will soon be available to North American Nintendo enthusiasts. After two and a half months, that day has arrived, and Nintendo has launched Club Nintendo to North America.
Club Nintendo is a loyalty program in which members earn Star Points coins primarily through registering Nintendo products and completing surveys. Coins can be exchanged for a variety of rewards, including Game & Watch Collection for Nintendo DS, DS Lite Case Holder, a variety of playing cards including Hanafuda, Mario Party and Animal Crossing, and a Mario Nintendo DS Game Rack.
Sadly, at this time Club Nintendo offers only one Wii related reward, a Wii Remote Holder (seen above). This item is also the cheapest available in the Club Nintendo store currently, weighing in at 300 coins.
So are you satisfied with Nintendo's initial offering? What items would you like to see offered as rewards in the future? How many points do you already have credited to your account? Let us know in the comments below. |
