The Conduit Continues to Impress

By Andrew Clark / Monday, 01 September 2008

Remember that Wii game that blew everyone away at E3? (Hint: Not Wii Music) Yes, that's right The Conduit is back, and the guys over at Gamespot had some hands-on time while at PAX and they were quite impressed.

Intent on not following in the footsteps of Red Steel, developer High Voltage has made customization the name of the game. Not only can controller and scroll sensitivity be adjusted, but also the team said they hope to have a drag and drop heads up display (HUD), allowing players to create a suitable feel for themselves. High Voltage has also been able to make The Conduit adaptable.  Even though they were just recently announced, the team hopes to add Wii MotionPlus support and Wii Speak support for the online aspect, which will include various modes such as death match and capture the flag.

In terms of game play, players play a Men in Black-esque scenario, and fight aliens to save the Earth. Along the way, you will get your hands on a range of weapons, and other goodies. There is also a puzzle element in the game, and secrets hidden that can only be found through exploration.

The game looks to release in March of next year.
