Japanese Launch Details Revealed

During Nintendo of Japan's media convention, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata revealed the launch date and price of Wii for that territory.

A
ccording to Iwata, Wii will go on sale in Japan on December 2  for a retail price of 25,000 Yen. Apparently that price is including tax. The
contents of the box will include the following:
  • Wii console
  • One Wii Remote with strap
  • One Nunchuk
  • AC adaptor
  • Wii A/V cable
  • Wii console stand
  • Sensor bar
  • Sensor bar stand
  • Two AA batteries
Additionally, Iwata mentioned that 16 titles, including The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Wii Sports, will be available on launch day in Japan. Each software title is expected to cost between 4800 and 6800 Yen, with Twilight Princess costing the latter amount.
