In an interview with Game Informer Online, Grasshopper Manufacture Director Goichi Suda (also known as Suda 51) discussed the controls, storyline and moveset for the studio's first Wii project, Heroes, as well as future projects. According to Suda, Heroes will play out in third-person perspective, with gamers using the Wii Remote to control the character's actions. As for the Nunchuk, Suda said it might be used a "little bit." Also, the beam katana (a lightsaber-like device) will be the only weapon usable by Travis Touchdown, Heroes' main character. However, different types of slashes and special moves will be available. Heroes' storyline revolves around Touchdown's mission to become a top killer. To do so, he must eliminate the 10 killers that outrank him. Additionally, Suda revealed that "the game takes place in Santa Destroy, a small town on the East Coast of America. The player will be able to move freely in the town and there will be main missions and sub missions. There will be smaller enemies between the boss fights." While Heroes' Japanese publisher Spike released a trailer for the game at Tokyo Game Show 2006, no playable demos have yet been offered to the press or public. Suda mentioned one might be ready for GDC or E3 2007. "For sure you'll be able to play it at Tokyo Game Show next year," the director confirmed. A US publisher for Heroes has not been solidified at this time, according to Suda, but the time frame for worldwide release is still 2007. In terms of other projects, Suda disclosed that he has a secret Wii title in development, and that a sequel to GameCube's Killer7 depends on Capcom.
