Conspiracy Bringing Shoot Out to Wii

By Shawn White / Friday, 09 February 2007
Conspiracy Entertainment announced that it has joined into an agreement with Japanese developer Hyper-Devbox to publish a futuristic 3D mech shooting game for - under the working title of "Shoot Out" - for Wii.

"This game was a hit within the arcade/coin-up market and is now being retooled for the Wii platform," said Carlo Perconti, president of Hyper-Devbox. "We are very excited to collaborate with Conspiracy to increase the intensity and enjoyment of the game, while remaining true to its original and much-loved design and aesthetic. The freedom of Wii's distinctive handheld wireless controller is ideal for creating a 3D 'shoot 'em up' experience and will allow players a greater feeling of interaction."

According to CFO of Conspiracy Entertainment Keith Tanaka, Shoot Out is planned to release in Q2 2007 and is "just the beginning of [the company's] intention to enter the Wii market."

Conspiracy Entertainment Europe announced in November 2006 that the company plans to bring two racing games - Baja Mania and Baja Destruction - to Wii in Q1 2007, though it's unknown if the titles will remain exclusive to the European territory.
