Michael Pachter has had a long history of predicting trends in video gaming. He has quite a lot to say about what will happen, and for the most part, remains an educated source to listen to. Most recently, Pachter predicted that in six years time, PS3 will emerge as the second best console (in sales), surpassing the Xbox 360. According to an article in the August issue of Nintendo Power, the next Wii Zelda game won't be a dramatic departure from past games.
"I don't think it's going to be that radically different," said Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto in the article.
The Zelda game in question was first teased in June at the E3 2009 expo, which showed artwork of a Twilight Princess-style Link standing alongside a new, unfamiliar character that some speculate is the embodiment of the Master Sword. Very little is currently known about the game, but Miyamoto's statement coupled with the teaser artwork implies that the new title might use the same game engine as Twilight Princess.

If you're not sure how to raise a family right, to pay the bills, and to show your children the meaning of the almighty dollar, then (don't) take a cue from Maxine Law.
Law, a 41 year-old Altamonte Springs, Florida resident, took it upon herself to deal with the stolen goods of her children; by selling said stolen goods. Her son, 16-year-old Patrick Early, aided Derrick Henson (13) and Joshua Carter (18) in stealing a neighbor's Wii console. Later, Early admits that his mother sold the Wii at a pawn shop, fully aware it was stolen.

The Wiire recently polled its readers on the following question:
E3 2009 has finished - what do you think of Nintendo's announcements?

Nearly 60% thought that the press conference went well overall. Despite the lack of presence from predicted major franchises like Zelda, Starfox and Pikmin, most gamers felt that what Nintendo still presented a successful conference.
