Hyderabad: On Wednesday a fire broke out at the air cooler manufacturing unit in Attapur. Attapur is located in Hyderabad where the fire accident happened and killed six people. As per the reports, the fire incident happened at around 5 am early in the morning. The workers at the manufacturing unit belong to Odisha and were sleeping in the shed. This is a small scale unit that is made up of iron sheets and they were sleeping in the A1 Air-Coolers. The preliminary investigations showed that the fire accident was caused by a short circuit inside the air cooler, as per the police officer.
The workers were sleeping inside the manufacturing unit and the fire caused by the short circuit inside the air cooler engulfed the place. Before the workers who were sleeping realized it, the place was engulfed in flames. The police suspect that the employees had bolted the door from inside. This could have been the reason why their exit was halted. All of the six workers were killed in the fire that broke out in the manufacturing plant in Attapur in Hyderabad.

Immediately the neighbors alerted the police. The police then called for four fire tenders in order to bring the fire under control as per the reports. The reports added that the four deceased who died inside the engulfed flames were identified as Irphan, Saddam, Sharukh and Ayub Khan. The GHMC authorities are cleaning up the debris in order to look for any other bodies that could be lying under the debris. The exact number of the workers in the manufacturing unit is still not known as yet.
The police have taken the owner of the production unit into custody while the investigation is on, said the police. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is presently removing any other bodies that could be lying under the rubble. There have been earlier incidents in the past too in various places other than manufacturing units. The fire broke out in film sets, pharmaceutical companies and offices where people have unfortunately lost their lives.
