Jaipur: On Thursday, police said that they found two girls who were missing from 2.5 years living in Jaipur together. They went missing in the year 2014. Milind Mahadeo Dumbere, the DCP Northwest said, “One of the girls was from Delhi and the other a resident of Bharatpur in Rajasthan.

They both had been missing from November 6, 2014.” A team from the Swaroop Nagar police station traced the girls to Jaipur. They were traced to a rented accommodation where they were staying in the city. He added that both girls were in their 20s.

They both had been missing from November 6, 2014.” A team from the Swaroop Nagar police station traced the girls to Jaipur. They were traced to a rented accommodation where they were staying in the city. He added that both girls were in their 20s.

The DCP said that one girl worked as a Tele caller and the other worked as an accountant in a private firm. The girl based in Delhi went to stay with her friend in Jaipur, Dumbere said. Despite being united with their respective families they expressed they would like to stay together, said another police official. He added that one of the girls disguised wearing jeans and loose clothes like a boy.

While one parent registered a complaint at the Deeg Police Station in Bharatpur the Delhi-based girl’s father registered a complaint with Swaroop Nagar Police Station. She was pursuing her graduation studies via correspondence from Delhi University. She left home on the pretext of attending classes that were held on weekends and suddenly went missing said the other official. He added that both families alleged the other family of abducting their daughter.

The DCP Dumbere said, “Both the girls were brought to Delhi. While the Delhi girl was produced before the court for recording her statement under section 164 CrPC, the other girl was handed over to the Rajasthan Police.” He said “The complainant (Delhi girl’s father) believed that someone had abducted his daughter and during the investigation posters bearing information on the victim were pasted at prominent places. Information was also sent to SCRB, NCRB, Doordarshan, CRO and CBI in this regard.” He also said few mobile numbers were scanned and a reward for Rs. 20,000 cash was also announced to trace the girl.

The interrogation revealed the Delhi girl used to visit her maternal grandmother at Bharatpur.  There she got friendly with the other girl and both decided to live together.
